Meet Our Staff
Frederick Thompson Jr (Coach Rick) -
Program Director
Rick has been part of performing arts his entire life. As a talented musician, he has experienced the wonders of self expression and creativity. This appreciation for the arts led to over 7 years as a coach and now, Rick is certified as a USAG Women's Competitive Coach & Judge.
In summer of 2024, Rick founded Suavey Sports Gymnastics competitive team. As a graduate of The University of Alabama at Birmingham, Rick brings education and upstanding professionalism to the gymnastics arena.
In his free time, Rick enjoys time with his parents, touring museums in Washington, D.C, and producing music.
